I am a Head of Creative at SSG with over 20 years of experience as a Graphic Designer. My expertise lies in branding, creative design, Mac support, and web design. I possess a strong creative vision and can translate client requirements into impactful visual designs. My attention to detail and exceptional project management skills enable me to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines. I am proficient in graphic design software and web development tools, allowing me to create cutting-edge designs for our partners that are both aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly.

I am responsible for identifying potential SSG partners and guiding them through the entire process. From initial consultations to providing ongoing support throughout the launch process, I work closely with our partners to ensure they have the right initial investment, tools and resources they need to succeed. Having helped 100+ recruiters since 2015, I understand the challenges that come with starting a business and I am passionate about helping individuals achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. I am an experienced Management Accountant who oversees our partners' accounting needs. With my expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, I ensure that our partners have a clear understanding of their financial standing and provides them with insights to support their business growth. My attention to detail and dedication to delivering accurate and timely financial reports make me an invaluable member of our team.
Head of Client Accounts

Joanne Butters

As head of the Client Accounting Team, I oversee the delivery of the accounting function to our partners at SSG. Alongside my amazing team, I strive to deliver a supportive and friendly service that provides insightful and essential accounting information to help our partners run their businesses and realise their full growth potential, whatever their individual goals are. I have over 25 years accounting experience, having worked the majority of my career in practice advising SME’s on a wide range of items from Audit, accounts, corporation tax, CIS and HMRC compliance, among many other things. I have also been lucky enough to have had several years in industry which gave me my passion and appreciation for the importance of all things cashflows, budgets, insight, and strategic planning.
Management Accountant

Lisa Douglas

As a management accountant, I provide monthly accounts to our partners to provide them with information about their business and to show them how the business is getting on. With over 20 years practice experience this has given me the all-round knowledge of accounts, tax, payroll and pension. Together with the monthly accounts, I assist our partners with VAT returns, payroll and pensions.
Management Accountant

Mica Gooding

As a management accountant, I report monthly accounts to our partners, providing them key information about their business and how they have been doing! With 12 years accountancy experience (10 years in practice before joining SSG in January 2022), I also assist with tax planning for both our partner businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Alongside reporting monthly management accounts I also prepare VAT returns and have a hand in payroll and pensions submissions for our partners.

I am an experienced Financial Controller, bringing with expertise in financial management and strategic planning to support our business operations. With a strong background in finance and accounting, I play a pivotal role in overseeing our financial activities and ensuring sound financial practices are in place. As the Financial Controller, I work closely with our partners on managing their financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting and cash flow management. I also support our partner network in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with their business goals and drive long-term, sustainable growth.

Lead Technical

Chris Ion

As lead technical I was here when it all began 20 years ago! Seeing many changes and adapting to a shift in both technology and the market, I oversee the internal technical provision and also client support - technical and creative. I’m responsible for our telecoms and IT – and support both SSG and our partners with whatever they need to work efficiently and productively. Covering both PC, Mac and server provision, I’m responsible for ensuring systems are always working and available. I also contribute to our creative activities including web presence and branding.

Having had over 25 years of experience in the recruitment industry. My journey in the field has been nothing short of rewarding, having not only accumulated extensive industry insights and experiences, I have created start-ups, carried out mergers and rebranding as well as owned, grown, and successfully sold a previous recruitment business. This experience has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities that recruitment partners encounter in the dynamic business landscape.

At SSG I have the privilege of managing the launch of our partners' new businesses. Focussed on guiding through the legal, contractual and compliance elements of starting a new business, my aim is to ensure a smooth transition from employee to entrepreneur, allowing our partners to enjoy the journey. With a background in starting up and running my own businesses, I understand the challenges and appreciate the rewards; and alongside a great launch team at SSG, am committed to giving our partners the best possible start.

I am a skilled IT & Tech Support specialist who plays a pivotal role in keeping our partners' technology running smoothly. With my extensive knowledge of IT systems and troubleshooting expertise, I ensure that our partners have reliable and efficient technical infrastructure. Whether it's resolving software glitches, setting up networks, or providing general IT support, I am dedicated to delivering top-notch service and ensuring our partners can focus on their core business without any IT disruptions.
Credit Control & Compliance Manager

Gill Miles

I have been with SSG for a number of years now and although initially also working as a Management Accountant, I assisted with the credit control process for SSG as well as our partners, additionally taking responsibility for compliance. I was therefore delighted to recently move into a full-time role as our Credit Control & Compliance Manager. This involves running the complete credit control process for SSG from sales ledger to debt management and legal action. Assisting partners and their subsidiaries with credit control where necessary and ultimately add value by increasing speed and quantity of cash collections for SSG and our partners. I additionally ensure our partners fulfil their compliance obligations on a day-to-day basis.

Jamie Moodie

As CEO, my key focuses are setting the strategic direction for SSG; leading the Senior Leadership Team, who run the day to day operations of the business; and, ultimately, ensuring that the SSG offering delivers the support, services and advice to enable our Partners to grow in a rapidly changing environment.

I believe that entrepreneurship has a hugely positive impact on societies and economies. Anything that can support this, in my opinion, is a good thing, and that is one of the key reasons I invested in SSG and remain dedicated to growing it and our Partners businesses’.

My training is mainly in mergers and acquisitions and business coaching, but the majority of my career has been spent as a CEO and/or investor: investing in, growing and then selling businesses.

With over 20 years Marketing experience across B2B and B2C businesses, I have built up a wide range of skills from a background in Graphic Design to traditional print based and digital marketing. My role is to highlight the benefits of working with SSG and the great results that our partners are achieving. I also delve into my marketing toolkit to attract and help other recruiters over come any barriers to realising their dreams and partner with us to start up their own recruitment business.

Lawrence O'Shea

At SSG, my main focus is ensuring the platform we offer to recruitment business owners is comprehensive and forward-thinking. The recruitment industry (and world) is in a period of rapid and significant evolution, so it has never been more important to ensure all businesses within the SSG Network are provided with the best tools. A significant part of my job is listening to our Partners' feedback and needs - and developing solutions to address them by bringing together experts from across the SSG team. We already have a market-leading community and platform for recruitment businesses to thrive - and my passion to drive us even further into excellence.

Leah Tootill serves as our invaluable Office Administrator, specialising in providing essential support for Partners. With a solid background in marketing within the games industry, Leah seamlessly integrates her skills to enhance our administrative processes and optimise our support services for recruitment network.

In her role, Leah oversees the intricate details of office management, ensuring efficiency and professionalism in every aspect of our operations. From coordinating job boards to Innovatage reporting, she is the linchpin that keeps our Partner Support team organised and focused on delivering exceptional service to our recruitment partners.

Partner Support Manager

Gareth Wadey

As a Partner Services Manager I collaborate and assist our Partners in their progression from a fledgling recruitment Agency into a successful business and onwards. I work closely with our Internal Centres of Excellence to deliver a quality service and build a strong Partner relationship. I have over 10 years’ experience in recruitment weather that be in an Agency, MSP, RPO or SOW setting, specialising in several areas including Engineering, Business Functions and Education. I also bring the knowledge and expertise in recruiting in the EMEA and North America regions.

Danusia Woznicka

My role as Head Of Client services is to support and guide our partners throughout their journey of building a successful recruitment business. I work closely with our internal departments and external partners to ensure all our partners are catered for. I have an abundance of client service management and recruitment knowledge gained within varying industry sectors spanning over 20 years.
