Time efficiency is a vital attribute to being successful in recruitment and in running a recruitment business. Choosing the right technology for your recruitment business can help you manage your time effectively.  There are so many technology and software providers out there that have solutions to improve the recruitment process that finding the best options can be quite a minefield.

Choosing the right technology for your recruitment business is crucial for improving efficiency, enhancing candidate experience, and staying competitive. Our technical and recruitment experts have had a look at the following options.

Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

Purpose: Manage job postings, track applications, screen candidates, and streamline the hiring process.

Most top companies today will use an ATS to help them in the hiring process. Recruiters also rely on this technology to automate tasks like posting job ads, tracking applications, and scheduling interviews. This can save time and money, and help recruiters focus on connecting with the best candidates for each role.

Often this could mean that the process of reading or scanning through 100’s of CV’s is completed for you. The recruiter can then spend more time looking through the CV’s that have made it through the automation process. There are obvious pro’s and con’s to this of course. It becomes a balancing act of trusting the process that save you time versus the chance that it may discard some very suitable applicants. Job seekers who are very well matched and qualified for a certain position could well be eliminated from the process without anybody physically seeing their CV.

ATS software options

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Purpose: Maintain and manage relationships with clients and candidates, track interactions, and nurture leads.

Recruitment CRM’s help you to gather and store information on your clients and candidates. Contact details, CV’s and any past interaction history can all be accessed easily. Moreover, you can also expect to build reports that can help you run your business and make informed decisions.

CRM software options

It is brilliant for perm recruiters with short term contract capability but has limited temp (Booking Schedule type) capability. Support – very responsive and helpful. Full on-boarding with training videos leading to human contact for on-barding (as long as you follow the training journey!). Multi-Channel Posting: Ability to post job openings to multiple job boards and social media platforms simultaneously, increasing the reach and visibility of job ads. Optimizes job advertisements for search engines to attract more qualified candidates.

Key Considerations

We have presenting quite few options across different areas of recruitment technology. This is by no means exhaustive and there are plenty of other providers out there and new options appearing all the time. Things to consider when looking at technology are integration with other software (can they talk to each and pass information). Are they scalable to the needs of your business and are they user friendly? Also have a look at the support they offer. You don’t want to be messing around trying to solve issues – you have better things to do!

Getting the technology right can have a significant impact on your business. SSG supports our recruitment partners to launch their business by providing the expertise on all areas of technology. We’ll also help you creative and finance and more importantly, support you with ongoing business expertise.
